Job Overview:
Performs a variety of administrative tasks to support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department, including, but not limited to new employee onboarding, payroll processing, employee offboarding, maintaining data in the HRIS system. The Human Resources Assistant will serve as a resource for employees and managers, at all levels of the organization
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including, but not limited to, the preparation and distribution of Offer Letters, pre-employment screening, and smooth transition into the company.
- Coordinate offboarding procedures for departing employees, to include exit interviews, preparation of required separation documents and updating the HRIS system.
- Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with administration of employee benefits, to include a variety of insurance offerings, Health Savings Account (HSA), 401-K and Paid Time Off.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures and benefits.
- Provide administrative support to the HR Department, to include data entry and document management.
- Assist in organizing HR-sponsored events, meetings and training sessions.
- Collaborate with other HR team members to improve processes and streamline operations.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field, OR a minimum of one year’s experience in the HR field, OR any similar combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two (2) years prior HR department administrative work experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to use office equipment such as personal computers, photocopiers, scanners, etc. in order to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) software is a plus.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality service to employees and to the organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Ability to display a courteous, patient and help approach and work cooperatively with all MSN team members and others with whom contact is required.
- Ability to maintain accuracy by applying attention to details.
