Department Information
The Georgia Tech Athletic Association (GTAA) sponsors varsity intercollegiate athletics competition in 17 NCAA Division I sports for the Georgia Institute of Technology. We are a proud member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Steeped in history and success while embracing strategic innovation, our programs compete at the highest level and strive for national championships. Tech fans are passionate about their support of their beloved Yellow Jackets and cherish the many traditions involved with the program.

Job Summary


Assist with the daily operations related to recruiting student athletes. This position will interact on a regular basis with: staff, coaches, current and potential students and parents. This position typically will advise and counsel: staff, coaches, potential students and parents. This position will supervise: NA.

Responsibilities


Job Duty 1 -
Initiate and maintain effective communications in order to identify program prospects.
Job Duty 2 -
Maintain prospect recruiting database for program.
Job Duty 3 -
Coordinate academic review and advising, course scheduling and communicate as appropriate with coaching staff.
Job Duty 4 -
Oversee the collection of personal, academic and athletic information and/or documents for selected prospects and student athletes.
Job Duty 5 -
Plan and oversee official and unofficial visits to campus by prospective student-athletes for program.
Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration, Exercise Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Two to three years of job related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities


SKILLS
Ability to effectively communicate, organizational skills, and proficiency with databases
