Corvac Composites is a premium Tier 1 supplier and a leader in supplying plastic components to major automotive manufacturers. With a product offering that is unique and the ability to provide flexible solutions, Corvac has experienced a rapid growth rate over two decades. We are now hiring for a Human Resources Manager in our Kentwood, MI manufacturing site who will be responsible for leading the HR function and activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all production personnel.
- Establishes and leads the hiring and orienting practices necessary to recruit a superior workforce.
- Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.
- Serve as link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting, and administering contracts/policies and helping to resolve work-related problems.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable Human Resource federal and state requirements.
- Participates in the negotiation of and interpretation and administration of labor contract.
- Manages the administration of employee benefit programs, and the processing of hourly and salaried employee payroll.
- Provides point of contact responsibility for worker’s compensation claims – filing, administration, return-to-work process, etc.
- Supports plant management in the execution of the company’s safety process – workplace audits, accident investigation and safety awareness.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent
- Proven experience in an HR Generalist position.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including listening, coaching, training.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite of products.
