Status:Part time-Day Shift
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant serves as the industry expert with all Human Resources federal and state compliance laws, FMLA and worker’s compensation. Serves as administrative support in communicating Symphony benefit plans. Primary responsibility for recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members. Partners with the building Administrator and HR in the development of effective recruitment and retention initiatives. Partners with department and organizational leaders on any site specific and systemwide process improvements initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Lead employee engagement and retention activities
- Lead the full life cycle recruitment process including job optimization, recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding
- Facilitate New Employee Orientation
- Process & maintain employee documentation including all team member certifications
- Facilitate training and in-service education as required by the building Administrator and Human Resources leaders
- Ensure all clinical compliance records are maintained and accurate
- Serves as the leader in all Worker's Compensation and Safety in the Workplace related issues
- Provide continual education on Symphony’s insurance and benefits to new and existing team members and coordinates any in-serve education as required
Qualifications/Experience:
- HR Generalist experience a plus
- Smartlinx 6 a plus
- Must have experience in long-term nursing care or acute healthcare setting
- Knowledge of state and federal HR laws a plus
- Demonstrated experience in communicating insurance benefits and managing worker's compensation (safety in the workplace)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- High attention to detail with ability to organize and maintain multiple workflows
