We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The Human Resources Specialist will provide support and guidance to the management team regarding employee relations, performance management, leaves of absence, employment law and agency policies and procedures.
As the Human Resource Specialist, the responsibilities would consist of but not limited to
· Performing recruitment and hiring activities.
· Process applicants and new hire paperwork to including reference checks and criminal history background checks on all applicants.
· Organizing and coordinating core orientation for new employees
· Coordination of benefits and ensuring compliance of 401k plan
· Overseeing workers’ compensation and unemployment claims
· Maintains knowledge on all human resource practices and changes in employment laws.
Knowledge of HRIS Systems
· Maintains confidentiality with all HR matters and security with all HR records.
· Ensures compliance as required by Federal and State laws.
· Responds to employee and manager concerns and requests.
· Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
· At least 5 to 7 years’ experience in a HR Specialist role required; home care or other healthcare industry experience preferred.
· Experience in high volume recruiting required.
· Strong multitasking abilities with the ability to prioritize.
· Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
· Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
· Great organizational and communication skills with the ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality.
· Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
· Creative thinker/Self-starter/planner, a high level of personal energy and professional motivation, can think globally and systematically.
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
