Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The HR Recruiter/ Generalist position is roughly 60% recruiting/staffing responsibilities and 40% Generalist responsibilities. The role works closely with TAS management and employees and is responsible for all staffing for TAS and the full recruiting process as well as other general HR support to the company. This person will manage all staffing vendor relationships and will field all sales calls from said organizations.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Timely Identification, attraction and recruitment of top talent to support the growth of the organization;
- Pre-screening candidates by conducting phone screens and in-person interviews to evaluate applicant’s work history, education, job skills, experience, compensation needs, and other qualifications;
- Scheduling interviews using MS Outlook calendar and coordinating travel accommodations for non-local candidates
- Developing and documenting the recruiting process;
- Managing recruiting activity reporting and tracking metrics;
- Acting as liaison with area employment and advertising agencies, processing and checking advertising agency billings, complete employment verifications and promote employee referral program;
- Negotiating and documenting contracts with recruiting agencies;
- Managing the pre-employment screening process including background checks drug screens, driving records, physical testing, reference and credit checks;
- Ownership of the on-boarding process including the New Hire Orientation and ensuring desk, computer, phone, business cards, nameplate, etc. are ready before new hire starts;
- Developing and maintaining affirmative action program; filing EEO-1 report annually; maintaining other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Leading internship and college recruiting effort;
- Updating position descriptions on an on-going basis;
- Maintaining Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database;
- Assists the department with Employee Relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing
- May perform some benefits administration to include supporting the invoice reconciliation, communicating benefit information to employees and assisting them with questions or enrolling new hires in benefit plans.
- Administration and ownership of TAS applicant tracking system and LinkedIn accounts
- Any other responsibilities as assigned by TAS.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other relevant field.
- Extensive experience or training in the field may be considered in lieu of a degree.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- At least five years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial business setting, with a focus on recruiting, employee development and Employee Relations
- Computer proficient (MS Office, specially Excel, and internet); detail-oriented, and strong analytical and statistical capabilities
- Previous use of an HRIS system
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- PHR or CIR Certification
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- iCIMS or comparable ATS working experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Position is at least 80% to 95% at a desk working with computer. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal and conduct extensive reading. The incumbent will be subject to inside environmental conditions.
