We are looking to add a talented, part-time HR Generalist to our core team in Millersville, MD.


Our ideal HR Generalist is a professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering positive relationships at all levels of the organization. You understand the importance of employee engagement and are adept at creating an collaborative work environment to provide our employees with a high-level of support. Proficiency in HRIS systems is second nature to you, and you are committed to leveraging technology to streamline HR processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth integration into the organization.
  • Collaborate with team to manage employee relations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment and maximizing employee retention.
  • Develop and implement human resource policies, programs, and practices in alignment with organizational goals as needed.
  • Coordinate employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, by working with both internal and external resources.
  • Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries.
  • Ensure legal compliance with state and federal regulations, updating policies and procedures as required.
  • Address employee concerns and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage conflict resolution and foster a positive work environment.


Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of HR functions, policies, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with national/state-level employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handl sensitive information
  • Demonstrated expertise in HRIS systems, enabling efficient and accurate HR management through available technology
  • U.S. Citizenship


Education/Experience:

  • Demonstrated previous experience in HR roles is required.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, SPHR certification or similar is desired but not required.
  • Associates/Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field desired but not required.


Work Schedule:

  • This is a part-time position, with flexible hours totaling approx. 12-15 hours per week.
  • Weekly onsite at our Millersville, MD office
