Happy Returns operates a national network of Return Bar locations staffed by friendly, well-trained Returnista return specialists located in premier shopping centers, national and regional store networks, and other convenient spots. Our Hub (Warehouse) Operations are integral for us to execute on this vision. Our company is growing rapidly, and we’re looking for a dynamic, organized, and passionate leader to join our team in our Southaven, MS Hub.
Position Summary
As the Human Resources Generalist, you’ll be responsible for Human Resources (HR) activities, employee engagement program management, and assisting with HR administration. We’ll look to you to champion our values, ensuring a differentiated and engaged workforce. - Provide employee relations guidance to employees and management by actively
responding with sensitivity to the needs of employees and leadership. - Oversee the day-to-day support of Human Resources for on-site as well as remote facilities
in collaboration with corporate HR. - Drive and implement employee engagement initiatives at your site in conjunction with site
leaders and assess the impact of all programs and events. - Complete the on-boarding functions for new employees including system onboarding, new
employee orientation and necessary coordination of new employee training. - Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations; assess, communicate,
interpret, and administer updated HR policies and procedures. - Serve as the primary contact for employees and management seeking answers and advice
on benefits, FMLA, workers’ comp, disability, etc. - Handle, in collaboration with corporate HR, employee relations matters including
workplace complaints, investigations, conflict resolution. - Ensure new hires and terminations are processed and employee data is current and
accurate within our client’s HCM system and maintains proper employee files in
accordance with policy and law.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning,
- organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor
- relations, preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build trust, maximize relationships, and interact
- with all levels, from hourly employees to senior management, are essential.
- Experience working in HRIS and time/attendance systems
- Experience in working in manufacturing/warehouse facilities and prior HR experience in
- transportation preferred.
- Proven experience in handling high volume recruitment.
- Experience supporting employee relations and strategic HR initiatives; handling sensitive,
- complex and confidential information.
- Experience providing HR support to a remote workforce.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
