GENERAL SUMMARY
Provides a variety of routine administrative, technical, and professional HR functions to ensure stable employee relations and a safe and secure work environment. Responsibilities may include direct or indirect management of one or more specific HR Functions in a business unit, preparation of complex information, and using considerable discretion in the performance of duties and the handling of confidential information.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
    1. Participate in conflict management, concern resolution, and detailed investigations. Also responsible for leading the performance management and corrective actions/termination process.
    2. Plan, organize, and lead all TMR activities for the assigned plant/area. This includes employee morale events, recognition events, and community relation activities.
    3. Assist with HR Policy Development and administration, including enforcement, education, and interpretation to ensure fair and consistent treatment between team members, shifts, and plants.
    4. Coordinate all manpower including internal and external hiring for full-time and placement of temporary positions.
    5. Maintain employee files, records, and correspondence in compliance with company policies, and state and federal laws and regulations.
    6. Administer, track, and monitor leave of absences. Evaluate and approve requested FMLA at assigned plant/area. Administer and initiate disability benefits. Monitor the team members' time and attendance system.
    7. Carry out general human resource functions in assigned sections of manufacturing.
    8. Coordinate resolution and/or referral of specific policy-related problems and inquiries as well as investigation of employee issues. Provide a recommendation of needed actions to upper management for final approval.
    9. Produce required requested and monthly reports as needed including, HR KPI tracking, manpower reporting, etc...
    10. Prepare and conduct training for the workforce, facilitate the lunch and learns for the area, attend and support the quarterly employee meetings, attend production morning meetings, etc...
    11. Support administration of plant safety programs.
    12. Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This work is performed in a manufacturing and office environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The incumbent must:
  • Have an Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Have strong computer skills including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have strong conflict management, analytical skills, and negotiation skills.
  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations and government law.
  • Have strong problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs by priority setting. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug test.
  • Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters.
