If you love Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.
Your responsibilities
- Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
- Conduct employee performance reviews, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
- Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to business and operational projections
- Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
- Collaborate with employees, upper management, and third-party vendors
- Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
- Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
- Collaborate with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
- Manage employee relations, including coordinating sensitive conversations and engaging employee
- Responsible for operations tasks for the HR department
- Compare federal, state, and local laws to current internal policies and procedures
- Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews- Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws
- The person we select will have to be highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
- Proficient with social media platforms as well as office computer applications and software
- Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
- Prior experience or knowledge managing Open Enrollment is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal business skills
- Prior HR Generalist experience
- Prior full cycle recruiting experience
- B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
