Roles and Responsibilities:
The main function of the HR Intern is to provide high-level administrative support to the HR team and HR Business Partners by conducting research, handling information requests and performing clerical functions.
- Assist with administrative tasks (i.e. filing, professional correspondence with supervisors and/or employees to gather forms and basic information, printing, etc.)
- Learn basic payroll processes as instructed to assist with data uploads, record keeping, and data integrity
- Use Microsoft Excel skills to navigate data, use pivot tables, use macros, use and create formulas.
- Proofing presentation materials and communications.
- Run reports from SAP.Working experience/knowledge with HR procedures -- labor relations, FMLA administration, general HR inquiries
- Verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Ability to keep information organized and confidential.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience Microsoft Excel skills to navigate/sort data, use pivot tables, etc. required.
- Candidates local to Pascagoula area required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required2-4 years general Human Resource experience required
Preferred Skills:
SAP skills strongly preferred HR degree strongly preferred.
