Job Summary:
The HR Generalist at Nissan Mazda Elk Grove is a full-time, individual contributor role in the auto industry located in Elk Grove, California. This position is responsible for providing support and assistance in various human resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR principles and best practices, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive compensation package of $20 to $25 per hour, paid semi-monthly. Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns
- Responsible for full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks
- Serve as a liaison with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and provide guidance on job descriptions and candidate selection
- Assist in the onboarding and orientation process for new employees, including conducting new hire orientations and ensuring completion of all necessary paperwork
- Administer and maintain employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management
- Resolve employee relations issues and handle disciplinary actions in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in retention and employee satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date with federal and state labor laws and regulations and ensure compliance with EEOC and other employment-related laws
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs to support a positive work culture and promote employee engagement
- Support the HR Manager with various projects and tasks as needed
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in the auto industry
- In-depth knowledge of HR laws and regulations, as well as industry best practices
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite CDK systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
