About the Opportunity:
This position reports to the General Manager, in Fort Worth, Texas. This position Implements Human Resources policies as a generalist, partnering with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives and resolves HR issues. Responsible for and/or serves as a HR liaison for most of the following areas: succession planning, talent management, labor relations, employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, EEO, and/or training and development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.
- Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.
- Knowledgeable of benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, 401(k) plan, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
- Presents new employee orientation; follows company guidelines to ensure employee is integrated into the workplace throughout the entire onboarding process.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews.
- Administers unemployment claims working state and local government employment agencies.
- Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and 401(k) plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, wage scales, absences, training, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Compiles reports of absences, wages, and other matters of interest to company management.
- Compiles necessary reports and files them according to government and/or internal requirements.
- Backup for preparing biweekly payroll process through ADP & distributes payroll checks as needed.
- Monitors HRIS system and all linkups to ensure they function properly.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality.
- Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.
- Other various duties as needed or as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- College degree and/or certification preferred in business or HR related field.
- 3-5 years of professional HR experience preferred
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense to the receiver--understanding the audience.
