Job Description
We currently have an opening for an experienced administrative professional in our corporate People Team department. This position is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to work at one of the fastest-growing companies in our industry. In this role you will work on a variety of HR tasks and projects in an exciting, fast paced environment. This is a position that touches and impacts a number of different functions within the organization, so we are seeking someone who is able to juggle multiple priorities while still getting the details right.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Create and maintains company personnel files, both paper and electronic-based.
- Prepare new-hire materials and assist in new-hire processing and orientation, including reviewing/processing new-hire paperwork.
- Effectively and expertly serves as a liaison to employee requests and questions.
- Provide HR database support, including entering new-hire information, entering updates, running reports.
- Evaluate ongoing People administrative processes and recommend/implement changes where necessary or desired to increase efficiency.
- Support the ongoing implementation of technology (HRIS, electronic personnel files, SharePoint) to improve department service offerings and efficiency.
- Assist in processing employment terminations and separations, including collecting and analyzing exit interview information.
- Supports GEI’s Safety Program, including tracking/monitoring and assisting with set up and termination of employees in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Participate in and/or lead ongoing projects and programs within the People & Safety team and GEI.
- May be expected to travel nationwide on a limited basis.
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
This remote position interfaces with all levels of employees and leaders within the company and is often the first touchpoint with the People team. As such, is expected to conduct themselves professionally and have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. This position requires a highly organized individual with very strong attention to detail, work at a fast pace while able to multi-task and work with confidential information.
- Computer: Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft office (at least intermediate skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and database applications/HRIS. Previous experience with ADP preferred.
- Experience: At least 1 years’ experience in an office environment; Human Resources or data entry preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A.S.in Business or BA/BS in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or similar field preferred.
