DESCRIPTION:
As an HR Coordinator at Tutor Perini, reporting to the Human Resources Director, you will have the opportunity to:
- Input PRO1 forms for multiple payroll companies under the HR Director’s oversight into our JD Edwards system
- Choose the appropriate job type/steps, union codes, pay cycles, and work comp codes for PRO1 processing, and obtain necessary approval signatures
- Review all personnel actions recorded in JDE for multiple pay companies under the HR Director’s oversight
- Process W-4/State withholding/Direct Deposit/WOTC
- Perform and manage E-Verify processing for union personnel; TNC’s, I-9 documentation, ongoing I-9 audits and maintenance
- JD Edwards live data entry
- Assist with the preparation of new hire packages for non-union employees and other tasks as assigned
- Prepare exit packages for departing employees
- Asset Management (Perks)
- Provides superior customer service to employees by responding to HR-related inquiries and requests by phone, in-person and email
- Employee File Management
- Provide administrative support to the HR Director
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources is preferred
- 5+ years of administrative support experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and a good understanding of HR principles and experience required

- Must be a self-starter who can work with direction and independently
- Ability to work in ambiguous environments while constantly shifting and prioritizing projects
- Ability to build relationships and partner with cross-functional departments to achieve results
- Demonstrates ability to be dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough
- Demonstrates current knowledge and understanding of federal and state labor laws and other applicable employment laws; (FSLA, FMLA, etc.)
- Excellent writing skills; demonstrated experience creating and writing processes
- Strong administrative skills
Computer Equipment and Software:
- Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience utilizing video conferencing apps, such as Zoom and Teams
- Previous experience with Business ERP software and/or HRIS systems such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP preferred
- Working knowledge of Sign Now preferred
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new software quickly required
