Duration: 3 months.
This site has a need for an HR Coordinator for a special project to help transition their files into a new electronic system. Some knowledge of HR will be helpful as they will be working with documents such as I-9's and tax documents, so familiarity is important. Candidate must have strong attention detail and good with computers.
Work Location: For now, the position will be working remotely as Catalent has shut down the office due to COVID. However, this person sill still be required to go onsite every Monday from 8:30am-1:30pm to assist with the proctoring of employees COVID self testing. Once results are received, the contractor will be responsible for document all employees results. Once the onsite ban is lifted, contractor will be required to go onsite every day.
The HR Coordinator position is responsible for supporting the Site in coordination with the Site HR team. Responsibilities include data entry relating to new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations and leave of absence processing; employee file creation and maintenance within standards of compliance;assisting with new hire onboarding; assisting with training initiatives; supporting Site employee events and communications as appropriate and generally providing consistent customer focus in all activities and duties on an on-going basis.
II. Essential Functions:
Processes new hire, transfer, promotion, leave of absence and terminations paperwork with absolute accuracy for reporting purposes.
Coordinates and leads portions of new hire orientation and onboarding when needed.
Ensures new hire I-9 compliance and maintenance of current I9s
Performs data entry and generates data reports from HRIS (Workday), Compliancewire, Taleo and Catalent's including processing of employee-related actions. Ensures accuracy and audits employee data in HRIS to maintain data integrity.
Assists HR leaders in data collection/analysis for various projects.
Completes/coordinates Site KPIs.
Completes Employment Verification requests from external sources, as well as requests for employment verification letters from employees.
Assists employees with routine compensation and benefit questions.
Coordinates and assists with employee activities and communications at the Kansas City facility.
Assists with administration of leave of absence and related pay continuation policies e.g. FMLA, jury duty, funeral/military leave, short term/long term disability, etc., and ensures compliance with related record keeping requirements, and ensures compliance with the applicable state and federal law(s).
Prepares and maintains personnel files ensuring compliance with all applicable standards.
Position Requirements:
Education or Equivalent:
High School degree required. Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree a plus.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in human resources field (data entry, record-keeping and compliance with benefits, leave administration and HR compliance needs preferred)
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
Data entry with HRIS and time-keeping systems and processes
