Position Summary
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and leadership enterprise wide. The position serves as a consultant to leadership on human resource-related issues. The HR Business Partner acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Partners with leadership in owning the message to provide policy guidance and interpretation, counseling, and assistance with regards to employee relations, productivity and retention issues.

Consults with front line leaders on business and organizational changes, providing HR guidance when appropriate.

Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to leadership in relation to coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions. Counsels employees as needed.

Manages and resolves complex employee issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.

Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Manages the immigration process, partnering with attorneys and employees as needed.

Prepares documents for participates/assists with meetings/mediations/hearings regarding any legal issues.

Supports a positive company culture by gauging the pulse of the organization through engaging with individual employees, participating in discussions or roundtables regarding employee relations issues.

Manages North State Benefit Program and works in partnership with the DHR to select and roll out the annual benefit plans.

Oversees the employee data and overall management of the HRIS.

Oversees the wellness initiatives and overall management of the program.

Oversees the Drug & Alcohol Program including preparing information needed for audit purposes as well as participate in any audits pertaining to the program.

Oversees the administration of the Duty Time Program (FAA regulation) including reporting, tracking, notification, and auditing.

Ensures that policies are communicated effectively and consistently including processing of all "new hire" paperwork during Onboarding or Orientation.

Documents, reports, and investigates all accidents in accordance with SMS policy.

Performs verbal coaching records to adjust/improve employee performance in accordance with company expectations.

Recommends to senior leadership if required, initiatives to improve performance, productivity, and cost effectiveness in areas of responsibility.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Academic Qualifications

Previous Experience
Minimum of five (5) years supervisory/leadership experience preferred; Minimum Five (5) years of HR Generalist/HRBP experience required;

Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as UKG or related systems. Position requires proficiency in Microsoft products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
