CSCI is partnering with a client in Stoughton, Wisconsin that is in search of a Human Resources Business Partner. This position is a direct hire opportunity. The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for leading and/or executing core HR processes including talent acquisition and selection, HR policy interpretation and recommendations, employee relations, compensation management, performance management, Union contract management (if applicable) and talent development, and other duties to ensure maximum effectiveness of the Human Resources function in support of HR and the specific business objectives of the manufacturing facility to which they are assigned. This role is a key member of the plant’s leadership team and trusted partner to the Plant manager of the facility. 

Responsibilities

Employee Relations and Engagement:

·       Leverages available information to drive proactive employee communications and engagement initiatives of the manufacturing facility.

·       Utilizes employee relations issues to diagnose and solve underlying HR issues within their facility.

·       Conduct daily interaction with all employees.

·       Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive work environment and promote a sense of fairness and consistency.

·       Offers guidance and assistance to plant personnel in dealing with day-to-day employee relations’ issues.

·       Provides accurate and consistent policy interpretation and administration.

·       Administration of Union Contract if Applicable:

·       Acts as the company representative for the associated Union

·       Manage and coordinate the grievance process.

·       Provides the manufacturing facility with interpretation of labor agreement contract language.

·       Assists with Union contract negotiations by taking an active leadership role in negotiations.

Talent Development/Acquisition:

·       Partners with the organization and the manufacturing facility’s leadership to confirm labor needs and to insure optimal organizational structure within the facility.

·       Identifies candidates for job requirements.

·       Ensures the efficient, timely, and cost effective recruitment of qualified candidates for approved positions

·       Partners with external/internal recruiting resources/agencies as needed.

·       Monitors progress of the employment process including all pre-employment requirements, tracking and filling of all open positions

·       Developing and implementing recruitment strategies.

·       Will offer hiring recommendations in line with overall staffing plans of the manufacturing facility.

·       We lead and direct all onboarding processes and procedures for applicants.

·       May develop and/or deliver leadership or employee training.

·       Recruits for all exempt, non-exempt and hourly positions in the facility. This includes meeting with hiring supervisors and managers to develop a recruiting strategy, utilization of appropriate recruiting sources, interviewing, reference checks and scheduling pre-employment drug screens and physicals.

Performance Management

·       Manages performance management process and developmental needs of staff. Develops, conducts and/or coordinates training programs which address these developmental needs.

Safety:

·       Participate and champion safety within the facility including being a member of the Plant Safety Committee.

·       Maintain the OSHA Recordkeeping process.

·       Oversee and manage all workman’s compensation claims within the facility.

·       Organization Development and Effectiveness:

·       Partners with the leadership team of the facility to drive organization of positive employee relations while simultaneously supporting the objectives of the manufacturing facility to which they are assigned.

·       Support Corporate Human Resources integration activities.

·       Serve as the “change agent” and champion for corporate initiatives, programs, policies and benefits, ensuring effective communication and implementation at the site.

·       Tracks, analyzes and utilizes appropriate workforce data to provide necessary information to requesting parties.

·       Implements and manages core human resources policies and procedures of the facility as well as corporate policies and procedures. Assures consistent interpretation of policies and procedures across departmental lines within the manufacturing facility.

·       Maintains the administration of employee files and compensation reviews within the facility.

Community Relations:

·       Acts as company liaison in promoting the client within the community.

·       Participate in community activities, clubs and organizations.

Training and Development:

·       Will foster a climate of individual growth for all employees through coaching and training.

·       Will be the cornerstone for implementing management training programs to facilitate the development and growth of the plant management team.

·       Manages performance management process and developmental needs of staff. Develops, conducts and/or coordinates training programs which address these developmental needs.

Minimum Requirements

·       A minimum of five (5) years of Human Resource experience within a manufacturing environment.

·       Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline.

·       Knowledge of Union contracts and the administration of union contracts.

·       Attention to details.

·       Must have above average written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills

·       One of the following certifications is preferred: PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP

·       Experience within food manufacturing.

·       Experience with people management.
