Our client is a government agency fostering affordable housing throughout New York State.
Position Summary
- Position is Part-Time, 3 days a week. On-Site
- Hours: 9-5 (preferred)
- 6 month contract
Responsibilities
Please be aware that the items listed below are some of the the main responsibilities for the position. However, the assignment duties are not limited to the bullets below):
- Heavy administrative, data management and filing duties.
- Support Human Resources department by handling confidential information.
- Create Orientation binders and ensure that documents binders are up to date.
- Create and maintain CASO filing documents for employee’s personal history folder as directed.
- Create Personal History Folders (PHF) for new hires.
- Assist in posting on ADP and other websites as needed.
- Review and send resumes to HR Specialists from shared mailboxes and posting sites.
- Request SLMS accounts for new hires.
- Enter Helpdesk tickets for HR staff as needed.
- File documents in employee PHF’s as needed.
- Assist with mail distribution.
- Assist with all typing projects which include but are not limited canvass letters.
- Assist with reviewing resumes.
- Create Personal Action Forms (PAF’s) as needed.
- Answer phone calls or email inquiries as necessary.
- Assist with benefits paperwork coordination (Reasonable Accommodation and yearly enrollment initiatives; etc.,.) on an as needed basis.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent Organizational, Communication skills are a MUST.
- At least two years’ experience in a fast-paced, highly administrative office performing support staff tasks.
- Ability to work effectively with members of the Human Resource Team and other internal departments.
- Candidate must show initiative and willingness to take on new tasks as directed.
- Candidate must be able to multi-task.
