Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Human Resources Assistant. As an HR Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the HR department and assist with various HR functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in the field of human resources.
Duties:
- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks
- Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy of data in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System)
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations
- Coordinate employee training and development programs
- Assist with payroll processing and data entry
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures
- Assist with maintaining compliance with federal and state employment laws
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department
Skills:
- Proficiency in using ATS (Applicant Tracking System) for managing job postings and candidate applications
- Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software for managing employee data
- Knowledge of human resources principles and practices
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with HR software such as Workday, Salesforce, Taleo, or PeopleSoft is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
