The HR Analyst plays a key role on the Employee Experience team and is key to optimize HR operations across the employee life-cycle (benefits, compensation, recruiting etc.). The role is responsible for developing analytical approaches that help strategically improve HR operations and recruiting processes. This role will work closely with MOM's leadership to analyze and interpret data. The HR Analyst must be motivated by challenging and thought-provoking work with a strong desire to learn and progress. This is a mid-level position located at the Central Store Support office (Rockville, MD).
Responsibilities:
- Develops, researches and configures HR systems across the Employee Experience (EE) department to improve programs and processes (recruiting, benefits, compensation, HR operations etc)
- Manage regular and ad hoc HR analytics reports across all systems (Dayforce, Jobvite, Zendesk, Salary.com etc.)
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports - working with key individuals to understand needs and modify reports as needs change
- Use advanced analytics capabilities to analyze data and highlight trends to generate meaningful insights
- Source, work with, combine and compare large data sets
- Deliver complex data analysis/projects from initiation through delivery
- Prepare and present reports, updates and recommendations to EE Director, CFO, CCO and leadership team
- Provide guidance to help EE team gain skills to run reports/analyze data and ensure data accuracy
- Creatively deliver insightful yet clear/simple visualizations to tell an effective story with data
- Uses inquisitive technical and business skills to understand, test, or challenge the status quo while working harmoniously with key individuals
- Contribute to building, maintaining and expanding analytics solutions and capabilities
- Demonstrates discretion of handling confidential data/information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2-4 years related experience analyzing data for HR/executive leadership
- Advanced Excel skills
- High level of proficiency with HR systems
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Working understanding of HR (principles, practices and procedures)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to leverage strong analysis skills to diagnose and support data-driven decision-making
- Experience collaborating and building partnerships with key stakeholders
- Work well independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication and data presentation skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to meet deadlines while balancing competing priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Dependable, accountable and takes initiative to solve problems
The following skills are desired, but not required:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative social science such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or related field
- 4+ years related experience analyzing data
- High level of proficiency with analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Previous experience with Dayforce and/or Jobvite
- Proficiency with Google Sheets
- Project management skills/experience
- Strong record of focus on details and demonstrates sense of urgency to meet goals
