Express Employment is looking for an experienced Director of Human Resources to become a part of our client's team! You will be responsible for leading and creating initiatives, systems, and best practices to recruit, develop, and train a diverse and high-performing workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily workflow of HR department
- Ensure that new hire orientation process is maintained
- Plans, develops, and implements policies, processes to support the corporation
- Train other staff in HR department to carry out duties if not available
- Maintains confidentiality of all programmatic and/or personnel actions
- Adheres to corporation Personnel Policies and Procedures manual
- Develops policies and procedures as they relate to changes in law or specific guidelines or as directed
- Recommends actions on violation of policies and procedures
- Review professional publications
- Assist employees with questions or concerns about policies and procedures
- Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the corporation and staff
Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources
- Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience in working with benefits and retirement/investment services
- Fundamental knowledge of labor and employment laws
- Must maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel
- Certified in PHR/SPHR/SHRM
- Experience working with a not-for-profit agency
- Experience with Kronos Workforce Ready
