Team Profile
The Finance Data Office (FDO) owns the Data Governance framework for the Finance Division. The FDO promotes best practices for data management with a focus on data quality while serving as Finances representative to the Firm on data matters through:
1. Data Governance facilitating Finance-wide data governance processes through the Finance Data Governance Committee (DGC) including escalating and coordinating activities across Firmwide and other Divisional DGCs
2. Issue Management managing, monitoring, and reporting on Finance data issues
3. Authority Data Sourcing managing sourcing of data to the Finance Data Warehouse (FDW) from the Firms data authorities and enabling the adoption of FDW data by Finance constituents.
The Role
The FDO is looking for a Business Analyst to join the Data Sourcing team. You will:
Business analysis for data sourcing projects
Interact regularly with technology and business Leads across external reporting, capital, and treasury to document new data sourcing requirements
Project level activities:
o Partner with IT to deliver new data sourcing in an agile methodology
o Work with clients and IT colleagues to document and prioritize sourcing requirements
o Identify strategic source for new data
o Deliver data analysis and testing including reconciliations between systems
o Complete system dictionary, feed review, and data control identification deliverables
Skills Desired:
Exposure to data governance disciplines
Understanding of Financial Statements preferred
Understanding of financial products (e.g.: Options, Futures, etc.) preferred
Experience of Alteryx would be beneficial but is not essential
