ODK Media, Inc. is a media group headquartered in Fullerton, CA, United States that provides access to premium international content through its owned and operated streaming platforms, including OnDemandKorea, OnDemandChina, and OnDemandViet. It also distributes content to global streaming services, cable operators, and movie theaters, serving as the Asian media hub for AAPI communities across the country.

We are currently looking for an HR Administrative Assistantto join our growing team, who will be responsible for supporting the daily Human Resources and Administrative operations to ensure smooth functioning of various processes within the HR/Admin department. This will include support & involvement in office & vendor coordination, assets management, events planning, recruitment, onboarding, personnel recordkeeping, payroll, benefits, & offboarding.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Office Administration

  • Responsible for office opening & closing procedures
  • Provide front-desk support by greeting visitors and managing mail deliveries
  • Oversee daily lunch coordination & weekly vendor management
  • Plan and coordinate office events and other employee celebrations activities
  • Creates monthly Newsletter and helps draft and review company wide announcements
  • Manage inventory of office stock and supplies for planning & ordering of materials
  • Manage HR/Admin vendor communication, coordination, & invoicing
  • Work with property management and external vendors to address any facilities concerns, parking, and leasing matters
  • Coordinate business travel arrangements for leadership team
  • Supports & streamlines efficiency of team meetings by providing meeting minutes and tracking action items
  • Assist with uploading executed legal contracts and agreements to filing system

HR Operations

  • Provide general HR/Admin support by answering to requests and inquiries made by internal employees and external vendors
  • Provides general recruiting assistance with job postings, interview scheduling, background checks, and offer generation
  • Administers onboarding by processing new hire paperwork, orientation, I-9 verification, and setting up system access to various HR/IT applications
  • Provides payroll support for bi-weekly & monthly processing by reviewing timecards & register reports for accuracy
  • Performs basic benefits administration with new hire enrollments for health insurance and 401(k), and provide open enrollment support
  • Maintain personnel filing & recordkeeping in HRIS, process employee information & job changes, ensure system data and company organizational chart is updated, and verify data is integrating properly with other HR applications
  • Maintain and update HR forms & documentation, digital resources, and tracker logs to ensure all information and assets are accurate and up to date
  • Assist with responding to unemployment claims and tax notices from state and federal agencies
  • Assists in administering training courses and track training progress and competition for new and current employees
  • Provides general offboarding support by prepping exit packages and sending exit information
  • Assists with HR related projects as needed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience working in office administration and human resources
  • Proven experience in general office administration support required
  • Working knowledge of HR principles and laws/regulations in CA highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace Applications is highly desirable
  • Experience with BambooHR system and Workable ATS highly desirable
  • Familiarity with design related applications like Canva, Photoshop, MailerLite, and Typeform highly desirable
  • Familiarity using Confluence and Jira applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Human Resources Management or related field of study
  • Bilingual in Korean preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service communication
  • Ability to function well in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to be fully onsite and come to the office Monday through Friday

ODK Media, Inc. offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The reasonable estimated salary for this role ranges from ($22/hr USD to $25/hr USD). Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
