We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for an HR Administrative Assistant to join a leading Company located in the Los Alamitos, CA surrounding area.
Pay Range: $19 - $21
Greet and screen visitors and answer phone calls while maintaining professional composure throughout interactions with visitors and employees. Provide administrative support to all areas of Human Resources, and other departments when needed. In addition, maintain calendars for conference rooms, sort mail, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors/employees in a professional and courteous manner, assist them with the sign-in process, and complete the appropriate security screening prior to visitors entering the building beyond the reception area
- Create and provide temporary badges when needed
- Answer calls (internal and external); direct them to the appropriate person and page employees when needed
- Perform a combination of administrative and clerical assignments to support the business including but not limited to sorting mail, copying, coordinating conference room calendars, and working on short-term and long-term projects
- Create and maintain employee files, including off-site storage records
- Maintain HRIS including data entry
- Prepare meeting minutes
- Support the Purchasing department with invoices
- Maintain necessary files, records, and order supplies
- Schedule meetings, training sessions, and appointments
- Assist HR staff
- Performs other duties as assigned
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year prior experience as a Receptionist and/or HR preferred
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate of Arts degree preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate knowledge of all MS Office applications and Internet navigation
- Good multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize work
- Discrete and professional with confidential matters
- Professional demeanor and ability to represent the company to customers and contacts
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures
- Knowledge of California Employment Laws
