The Housing Case Manager is responsible for the Housing Casework of New Roads clients in the Housing Program. You will assess the needs of each client and develop a written transitional living plan for each individual. You will assist each client in finding housing opportunities and securing stable housing. You will also conduct weekly progress evaluations and complete all required documentation, including but not limited to the activities and progress of each client.

The New Roads Program is a drop-in shelter for youth, ages 11-21, to seek services related to basic needs, transitional housing assistance, skill-building, and support in gaining employment. The New Roads Program focuses on creating long-term solutions to improve the quality of each client's life through individual case management.

People who succeed in this role have a passion for helping youth and are able to relate to teens from all different backgrounds, values, and cultures. A bachelor's degree in social services or a relevant field is preferred, but not required. Experience working with at-risk, runaway, or homeless youth and prior casework experience is also preferred. You must be a positive youth mentor and role model who can demonstrate strong boundaries. You must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle stressful situations.
