Touching Hearts at Home Dayton is seeking an individual to fill a critical and leadership role within our office support team. The Scheduler must be skilled in communication, accuracy, and attention to detail to ensure the satisfaction of our clients and care team. A sincere appreciation for and dedication to the professionals providing care for our clients is critical. Thorough training on our scheduling software will be provided. Experience providing care for older adults in a Home Care setting is highly desireable, but not a requirement. Competency in delivering care to individuals with complex needs such as memory care, bedbound care, and hoyer transfers will need to be demonstrated during the first thirty days of training for the position. An associates degree or higher and/or an STNA or MA certificate is desireable, although care experience and knowledge is equally valued. The position reports to the Director of Client Care and is part of a team of ten individuals responsible for ensuring the satisfaction of our care team and clients.
The position is based in our Kettering office and is NOT REMOTE. The primary responsibilites include scheduling open shifts to ensure a solid care experience for our clients and handling all communication with clients and our care team regarding their schedules. Responsibilities also include supporting our care team and clients on the phone, by text, by email, and in person in our clients' homes as needed. The Scheduler is responsible for monitoring on time arrival of our care team to scheduled shifts, providing "on demand" and as needed scheduling, and being part of the team who works open shifts with clients when shortages arise. A willingness and eagerness to provide hands on care when needed is required, and expertise in hands on care will be critical. Providing outstanding care to our clients is always the top priority.
The ability to thrive working at a fast pace in a high pressure environment is key to success in the position. Home care is demanding and the work is time sensitive, but the rewards are great for an individual that enjoys a challenge! The needed schedule includes evenings and weekends on call on a rotating schedule. We are hiring one full-time individual with the flexibility to be on call two Saturdays and two Sundays each month and one evening every week. The current rotation requires two weekends of on call every five weeks.
