Home Care Scheduling Coordinator

We are looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our Assisting Hands of Greater Cleveland family! This position has primary responsibility for staffing and scheduling services and involves extensive telephone work and interaction with caregivers, clients, and health care professionals. The Scheduling Coordinator must be well-organized, have good attention to detail, excellent telephone and interpersonal skills. Experience in senior service settings is preferred. Must be a good problem solver and able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Matches appropriate caregivers to cases based on personality, availability, and skill set.
- Makes sure that all cases are covered and arranges for substitute/back-up coverage as necessary.
- Handles/resolves caregiver issues, problems and scheduling changes.
- Responsible for covering emergency shifts if unable to find coverage.
- Verifies care notes and reports any incidents, hospitalizations, changes in client conditions.
- Provides information about services to prospective clients.
- Responsible for maintaining caregiver files and keeping them up to date.
- Serves as the point of contact for clients, caregivers and case managers.
- Participates in on-call rotation as needed.
- Participates in fairs and trade shows as needed.
