Essential Duties:
- Receive and respond to incoming communications to include, but not limited to, calls and/or emails regarding technology hardware and software related issues.
- Assist school representatives in technical troubleshooting as needed.
- Participate in professional learning activities and training sessions, seek certifications, and stay abreast of leading edge technology in support of job responsibilities.
- Complete job responsibilities during off-peak hours as needed and approved by supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with school and district-level personnel to ensure the position's activities support the school system's objectives.
- Maintain a sufficient level of knowledge regarding relevant technical, educational, and legal topics to enable highly efficient, effective, and lawful management of the position's duties.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as directed by the Executive Director of Technology Operations, Coordinator of Technology Operations, or Supervisor.
- Monitor, manage, and route work orders in the ticket system.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE), required.
- A+ Certification, preferred.
- Advanced training and/or two years or more experience, preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware, printers, peripheral devices, and software platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot Windows, Chrome, and IOS operating systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot administrative and instructional software is preferred.
- Experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
- Ability to develop and design workflow forms and scripts.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all educators, students, and stakeholders.
- Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.
- Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
- Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
- Ability to be present at the physical worksite.
- Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
- May require using a ladder, climbing ladder to building mezzanine, working under a desk or table, using hand tools, and operating vehicles or equipment owned by the district.
- Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
