Tyndale, a growing 3x Houston Top Workplace and certified woman-owned business, is searching for a Help Desk Technician to join the team. This Technician will be based out of our newest City Centre location to ensure that all Tyndale employees’ equipment, hardware and software, are functioning appropriately.
Responsibilities
- Primary contact for troubleshooting workstations, phones, mobile devices, printers, etc.;
- Work with MS Active Directory domain, including user, computer, and group management;
- Document procedures in the collaborative knowledgebase;
- Work with the IT department’s vendors for purposes of coordination as needed;
- Maintain physical equipment (including desktops, laptops, peripherals, etc.) and make purchases to replenish inventory as needed;
- Assist in the research, planning, and implementation of new technologies and projects
- Support remote employees in multiple locations across the US and Canada
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience required
- Associate's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent technical experience required
- Certifications preferred but not required
- Knowledge of PC and desktop hardware and internal components
- Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Windows operation systems and a Microsoft environment (Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange) required
- Basic network skills preferred: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Ethernet switching, basic routing
- Skills in Apple MacOS, iOS preferred
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
