Days and Shifts:
- Full-time position
- Monday – Friday from 8 AM – 4:30 PM
Description:
- Filing birth registrations, processing incoming reports and filing
- Assembling and checking deficiencies of health records
- Retrieval and permanent filing of health records
- Performs various supportive duties required within the department pertaining to processing and logging request for information and health records
Requirements
Educational/Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent with experience in a healthcare facility preferred
- May require Certification as a Notary Public in and for The State of Iowa
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well
- Computer literate – Microsoft Office and able to learn additional software programs.
- Knowledge and understanding of legal requirements for the release of medical information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrate teamwork with good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficient clerical skills, including working with computers, filing, and knowledge of office procedures sufficient to function independently with minimal direction
