Job Title:Accounts Receivable ClerkFLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Controller
Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Clerk verifies and posts Accounts Receivable transactions to journals, ledgers and other records for all companies under the Mittera Group umbrella. The Accounts Receivable Clerk follows established procedures for processing receipts, cash and etc. and may also prepare bank deposits. The Accounts Receivable Clerk may perform other basic clerical duties associated with accounting.

Education and/or Experience: Requires understanding of bookkeeping procedures and 1-2 years of relevant experience. Requires understanding of accounting standards (GAAP) and computer experience including spreadsheets, batch data and reporting methods. An Associate’s degree in accounting is strongly preferred.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents; write employee communication pieces and routine business correspondence; speak effectively before a group of peers and ability to communicate with a broad range of audiences (senior management level to front-line production employees.
Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Other Skills and abilities: Ability to operate a PC and use various software including Microsoft Office. PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Initiate and maintain good organization of records and information. Ability to prevent errors and solve problems. Professional telephone etiquette.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Invoice customers with appropriate expense coding based on standards established within the department.
- Monitor receivables to ensure payments are received according to terms.
- Maintain accurate record of company receivables.
- Provide reports including aged trial balance of Account s Receivable and other reports as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Safety and General
- Ensures compliance with applicable OSHA and EPA federal and state rules, regulations, policies and guidelines and Company safety rules.
- Hearing protection is required on the production floor.
- Responsible each day for area worked.
- Supports Safety Committee and participates as requested or needed.
