Golden Touch is a family owned and operated wholesale apparel manufacturer with a mission to deliver trend focused products for nearly 50 years. We produce private label brands for large mass market retailers across the globe specializing in children's, junior, missy and women's apparel.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy: Provide strategic leadership to the production department, setting clear objectives in alignment with company goals. Develop and implement production strategies to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Production Oversight: Oversee all production-related activities including trim, fabric selection, cutting, sewing, and finishing processes. Ensure all products meet the standards for quality and design.
- Strong Sourcing Knowledge: Ability to build relationships with overseas vendors and build efficient processes to handle inbound products.
- Supplier and Contractor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with fabric suppliers, contractors, and other key partners. Negotiate contracts to secure the best terms and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the Design Department to understand product vision and ensure production feasibility. Coordinate with the Shipping Department to align production schedules with distribution timelines.
- Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures at every stage of Production. Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Innovation and Sustainability: Champion innovation in production processes and materials. Advocate for sustainable practices throughout the production cycle to minimize environmental impact.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the production budget. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the production team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Textile Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in apparel production, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Strong understanding of the apparel production lifecycle, including fabric sourcing, garment construction, and finishing techniques.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale production operations.
- Excellent negotiation skills and a strong network of contacts in the textile and garment manufacturing industry.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and empowerment.

Salary Range: $80K - $150K *
*We may pay more or less than the published upper limit of the pay range based on an individual's demonstrated experience and expertise in their field. The pay ranges serve as a target and allow us to consider relevant experience, time in the role, salaries of internal peers, business sector, prior performance, and geographic location.
