Job Description


What we’re looking for:

The Head of Product Management will be part of the regional leadership team and report into the President, Healthcare. This role is inherently matrixed, supporting the HIMSS, Aviation and Agriculture portfolios. It requires closely working customers (current, former, and potential), and with internal stakeholders from commercial leadership, content, marketing, sales, technology, and product.

Within the targeted markets, this role will drive significant engagement with customers to identify and validate customer needs and ensure that we are solving their challenges with world class products and innovative solutions that are aligned with our business strategy.

Role Accountability and Duties:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product and content strategy in alignment with the company's overall goals.
  • Define long-term vision and short-term objectives in collaboration with leadership teams across all functions.
  • Establish and communicate priorities for product development and execution in order that all parts of the business are bought into the roadmap.

Product Development:

  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.
  • Be responsible for developing and leading a commercially validated roadmap and moving forwards, building out a clear product vision/roadmap.
  • Establish a feedback loop to engage with customers through a variety of methods to identify and validate needs and to ensure that the solutions that are being built are meeting those needs.


Market Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Drive market and competitive analysis to identify key opportunities for growth– driven market testing and validation.
  • Utilize market insights to inform product and content decisions.


Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Lead the internal communication flow, serve as a liaison, coordinate cross-functional teams, and provide data driven assessments to key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate existing product development and new product delivery, working closely with existing and potential customers, product managers and our partners, to understand the opportunity and develop strong buy-in across Informa Markets as to the strategy and roadmap – in addition, support business case development where required.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, balance business objectives and needs versus technical and operational constraints and adjudicate between internal stakeholder groups and partners to resolve blocking issues.

Qualifications


What you bring to the team
:

  • Proven track record / experience in Product Management in the B2B information services industry.
  • Expert in emerging and existing technologies, with knowledge of industry standards and approaches.
  • Strong Product Management experience with proven methodology and framework. Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization internally and externally.
  • Ability to influence outcomes specifically beyond the hierarchy of their role, through personal presence and confidence.
  • A track record for collaborating with and leading Product Management peers and those in content teams, marketing, sales and technology roles, as well as partners, ensuring products meet requirements and that they are marketed and sold to their potential.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to construct and evaluate the different business model approach to maximize ROI.
  • Experience developing a deep understanding of customer usage, competitor products and market trends, and translating that knowledge into product positioning, roadmaps and requirements for new products and enhancements.
  • A solid understanding of data-heavy content-based information products

  • The salary range for this position is $204K-$260K, depending on experience
