Overview:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented post-production manager and communication assistant to join our team. As a Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of various production projects. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for photography and post-production who enjoys relationships with clients and is looking professional growth.
Perennial Image is a high-end wedding and portrait photography business based on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. We are a younger company that is rapidly growing and need help with both communication and post production management. . We are looking for a new team member to assist with client relations and minor administrative tasks, online presence, and post production.
The ideal candidate has exceptional communication and organizational skills, has post production and design experience, and is also passionate about photography, ideally in the wedding industry. This is a phenomenal learning opportunity for the right self-driven, passionate creative, and to grow with us. Though part time for now, depending on your experience there is potential for full-time employment.
We are looking for someone who is charismatic, artistic, detail-oriented, and interested in a career in photography and the wedding industry. Previous experience in the wedding industry is preferred but not essential; priority is finding the right personality with artistic experience and ability that will complement our style, brand, and customer experience. You will be working directly with the founder of the studio. She has been a full-time wedding photographer for 12 years She worked as a studio manager and photographer at a high end wedding photography studio in Manhattan for six years during which she built her clientele in preparation of launching Perennial Image in 2018. We are looking for somebody very eager to grow both creatively and professionally.
(We are also always open to adding new photographers to our team.)
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors in graphic design, photography or a related field.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge and related plugins.
- Able to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Experience in the wedding industry a plus but not required.
- Strong interest in wedding photography and familiar with NYC culture and landscape
- Excellent, refined communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with keyword placement and other SEO best practices is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- photo post-production (cull, color-correct, retouch)
- Client communication
- Calendar management
- Job workflow: oversee the production and communication timeline for each wedding to ensure jobs are delivered on time
- Album design (Fundy)
- Website SEO & Maintenance
- Blog all weddings and portrait (pull photos, retouch, write, and optimize for SEO
- Programs: Narrative, Wordpress, Showit
- Send vendors images from jobs
- General admin and organization
