The Hazardous Waste Technician will report directly to the Hazardous Waste Operations Supervisor. The Hazardous Waste Technician will have responsibility for the performance of tasks associated with the collection and safe/compliant handling of Hazardous Waste materials generated by our Fremont facility. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, self-driven and works well with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate must also take pride in his/her analytical abilities, operational mindset, organization skills and attention to detail. What You’ll Do- Oversee the collection, packaging, labeling, testing, storing, transporting and disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous and universal wastes in accordance with applicable federal and Nevada regulations
- Inspect and maintain Hazardous Waste satellite accumulation and central accumulation storage areas
- Provide emergency spill response and cleanup
- Perform decontamination and equipment cleaning
- Prepare loads for Hazardous Waste disposal, ensuring Hazardous Waste containers are properly labeled
- Ensure proper packaging of Hazardous Waste to maintain DOT compliance
- Conduct Hazardous Waste manifesting and pre-load preparation
- Perform collection of Hazardous Waste containers from commissioning/manufacturing processes, as required
- 3+ years of experience in high tech industry or similar manufacturing operations environment
- HAZWOPER, DOT, RCRA generator training
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure
- Ability to operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks and carts
- Valid driver license may be required
- Ability to effectively interface with cross functional teams

$23.00 - $60.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
