We currently provide creative pop-up concept stores for fruit tea and bakery products, with the goal of opening a few physical stores around the Bay Area in 2021. Compensation: Negotiable attractive package
Working Hours:
- Full time: 40 hours per week
- Part-time: 20 - 35 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Daily baking of chiffon/sponge/dacquoise cakes
- French mousse cake production using techniques such as: pâte à bombe, crème anglaise, and crème bavarois
- Finishing cakes: basic piping, glaze pouring, and decorating
- Production of various cake fillings, flavored creams, fruit prep, caramel, candied nuts, etc.
- Production of petite pastry items, such as cake boxes and crepe rolls
- Daily checking-in on production schedule, ingredients stock and par
- Inspecting the cleanliness and working conditions of all tools, equipment, and supplies
- New product development and production of dietary-restriction items
Requirements
- Availability to work at least one weekend day required for full-time work.
- Knowledge and experience with basic pastry techniques.
- Ability to work cleanly and efficiently in a busy kitchen, team-player a must.
- Firm understanding of food industry regulations.
- California Food Handler Certificate.
- Eligibility to work in the US.
- Be able to stand, walk, lift, or bend over for long periods.
