Job Summary
The Baker will be responsible for the preparation of our signature bundt cakes, available in a variety of sizes and flavors. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent time management skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a dedication to upholding food safety and hygiene standards. This role involves the use of precise measuring, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other specialized tools to ensure the perfect texture, flavor, and appearance of our cakes. The Baker will be responsible for assisting with other bakery duties and contributing to a positive work environment. Baker Job Duties and Responsibilities
ü Follow daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly.
ü Bake a variety of bundt cake menu items according to established proprietary recipes and quality standards.
ü Operate commercial-grade mixers to blend ingredients thoroughly and achieve the desired consistency.
ü Accurately measure and prepare ingredients for cake production, following recipes and portion sizes. Utilize measuring instruments such as scales, measuring cups, and spoons to ensure accuracy.
ü Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve optimal results and prevent over- or under-baking.
ü Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery workspace, including cleaning baking equipment, utensils, and work surfaces according to sanitation guidelines.
ü Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of baking equipment as needed.
ü Work closely with other bakery staff members to ensure smooth operations and timely production of bundt cakes.
ü Conduct regular quality checks on bundt cakes to ensure they meet company standards for taste, texture, appearance, and freshness.
ü Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, supplies, retail, and finished products. Purchase supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
ü Wash dishes, utensils, and baking equipment to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
ü Assist in receiving and storing weekly deliveries from Shipp, Sysco, paper goods, and other suppliers.
