CPA.com, a leading developer and distributor of technology solutions for the CPA profession, is seeking a Graphic Designer who is looking to apply their skillset and grow with a dynamic and fast-growing organization. This role will assume primary visual responsibility for CPA.com’s Research and Innovation activities, focused heavily on development of digital assets of various initiatives including the AICPA Town Hall, an award-winning bi-weekly news broadcast for the CPA profession. In addition to R&I activities, this person will also provide design and visual support for executive team presentations and other content that supports outbound engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities include support of the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Research and Innovation Activities
oProvide visual direction and execution support for the bi-weekly AICPA Town Hall broadcast series. Oversee the creative development and execution of episode content including PowerPoint slides and key digital assets, ensuring high-quality content that depicts visual storytelling in accordance with the AICPA brand. Work with a broad array of stakeholders, including executive team members and outside influencers, to design and manage content reviews, often producing new versions in a quick turnaround time.
oDevelop digital assets (PowerPoint slides, infographics, social media graphics, brochures, etc.) to support promotion of key R&I activities including, but not limited to, thought leadership special reports and key programs.
oProvide creative support for conference sponsorships including digital posters and onsite branding.
- Executive presentations
oOversee development of key digital content (Power Point slides, infographics, charts, etc.) to support executive team members in clearly and effectively communicating key messages and corporate initiatives to audiences.
oDevelop templates and/or refine slides in executive presentations and other content that supports outbound engagement.
- Other activities
oDesign and manage customizable brand templates for core design assets, such as digital and print advertisements, whitepapers, newsletters, toolkits and graphics (web, social media, event and static data/infographics).
oMaintain and manage asset guidelines and libraries.
oProvide design support and guidance to company business partners (sales, marketing, HR, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in graphic design, with a focus on brand development; Bonus if the experience is in financial services, technology or the accounting profession.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual storytelling
- Proven track record developing high performing marketing and communications materials in a complex, fast moving environment
- Creative problem-solver and self-starter, passionate about design, detail-oriented with a commitment to innovation and excellence
- Workload management – ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver requests in a timely manner
- A meticulous eye for detail and an active, empathetic listener able to interpret goals, and incorporate critical feedback from multiple client-partners.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and visually
- Expertise in Microsoft Suite (especially PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
- Expertise in developing animated graphics, interactive reports or videos preferred but not required
- A robust portfolio that showcases a solid understanding of visual design principles
- Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; and at least three years related graphic design experience.
