Summary: The main function of a Graphic Designer is to create designs, concepts and sample layouts based on design principles and concepts. A typical Graphic Designer needs to have a high level of creativity and able to communicate their ideas to both internal and external clients. The ability to be flexible to client demands, work well under pressure and multi-task are required skills.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in design or related field preferred. 8+ years experience required. ( flexible with education if resource has real life experience)
Job Responsibilities:
Plan, analyze and create visual solutions to communication problems.
Develop overall layout and production design of publications or web interfaces as they relate to graphic design.
Prepare sketches or layouts to present to client.
Create charts and graphs from data given.

Skills:
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills and problem solving ability are required. Intermediate ability to utilize various forms of media, including print, electronic and film.
Intermediate ability to visualize in 2D and 3D and understand aesthetic aspects of design.
Previous experience using the computer to create layouts and generate new images.
Experience with Adobe publishing and graphics software a plus.
Workflow/tasks/responsibilities:
" Identifying media requirements or printing requirements.
" Conceptualizing and developing new designs and marketing materials.
" Providing mood boards or mockups if needed.
" Refining existing design concepts and maintaining current marketing materials.
" Some project management keeping track of multiple projects, reviews, and approvals.
" Packaging, exporting, submitting, archiving projects based on the final output.
" Some use of internal sites such as ComfortSite, MAX, AEM.
Software Knowledge: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere/Rush (video), Basic Microsoft Office skills
" InDesign: My most used app! (We mostly work with print media.) Anyone with some experience in this program should know how to properly export, package and archive files, as this is required to finalize any project within the program.
" Illustrator: Needed for developing vector graphics such as logos, badges, etc. as well as the large-scale graphics for booths. (IBS, CES, Elite Dealer Conf, etc.)
" Photoshop is needed for retouching or re-colorizing units, and other creative image needs.
" Premiere is a great video editing software that is more advanced than Adobe Rush. Knowledge of Premiere and After Effects (another video editing app) is great to have in case we work with a vendor that uses these tools and we can make edits to the file in the future.
" Having experience working with many different brand guidelines, or being involved in creating brand guidelines from scratch is great experience (I would say) because we maintain the work for so many different family brand, partnering brands, and services (and follow unique rules for each).
100% remote
60-70 projects at a time.
This is pure graphic design. We have a team that will convert to HTLM so that's not a requirement.
Interview process- Panel teams- one and done
This request is to replace a current contractor who is rolling off. Would like this person to start as soon as possible so they can cross train with current contractor until end of their assignment in April.
