Description:
Description: The Graphic Designer oversees and generates graphics for all council campaigns and publications, ensuring adherence to Girl Scout graphic/branding guidelines and a commitment to meeting deadlines. Handles graphic design and illustrations for patches, program guidebooks, signage, apparel, billboards, and more, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing and maintain visual consistency. Manages e-correspondence such as newsletters, appeals, and any outside e-communications on behalf of council. Responsible for maintaining brand deadlines and helping team(s) stay on deadlines. She/he/they must have a collaborative, can-do, positive, deadline-driven, and self- starter attitude.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in graphic design or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Two to four years of progressively responsible and related experience or internship/volunteer experience in graphic design, advertising, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, sufficient technical ability to easily work in multiple digital environments such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and AEM (ability to share previously design projects).
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite for Mac (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; Premiere Pro, Lightroom)
- Project management skills with proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and continually changing work environment.
- Proven experience in graphic design and layout; demonstrated creative approaches.
- Attention to detail in composing, editing and proofreading materials.
- Some Spanish language skills a bonus.
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Employment is dependent upon the results of a criminal background investigation.
Requirements:
- Adherence to Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore policies and procedures.
- Registration as a member of Girl Scouts of the USA.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Willingness to travel as job requires.
- Capability to provide own transportation and maintain valid operator license.
