The Grants Manager provides contract and operational management to support the implementation of UCAAN’s strategic plan for community grantmaking and resource development. This position requires strong qualifications and experience in grantmaking, grant stewardship, proposal development, management, and budgeting. The successful candidate will be prepared to build and manage partnerships to prevent and mitigate the impact of adverse childhood experiences in California’s communities. The Grants Manager will work with UCAAN internal teams in addition to external vendors and sponsors. The Grants Manager will support grantmaking activities by serving as a liaison to contracted partners, managing key processes and workplans, such as developing requests for proposals, sample contracts, scopes of work (SOW), and communications materials. *This is a full-time, 12 month contract position that may convert to career. Pay Range: $61400.00 - $121400.00 Annually
Required: Three to five years of overall experience in grants management or operations in a non-profit, philanthropic, or education setting Strong program and project management skills with attention to detail Experience managing complex projects that are strategic in nature. Solid problem-solving skills Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels within UCLA Health and UCLA campus Ability to establish trust, rapport, and professional relationships with vendors, partners, and funding/sponsoring agencies Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Working knowledge of various project management tools Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills Ability to convey necessary information accurately, listen effectively, and ask questions when clarification is needed. Experience making recommendations and taking actions to improve structures, systems, or outcomes Experience organizing and managing detailed information and confidential information Excellent organizational skills with ability to execute projects within scope, time, and budget Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field Familiarity with healthcare and/or human services programming Experience centering equity in outcomes funding to advance health and well-being efforts at the community level
