The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an AR Specialist to add to our team in Naperville, IL. The role will be responsible for assisting the Divisional Controller in the preparation of financials with a key focus on accounts receivable, including billing, collections, customer maintenance and cash reporting. This position will require strong business partnering skills and working cross functionally with various business teams. Strong attention to detail is also required. Evening and weekend work will be required as needed.
Responsibilities
• Daily accounts receivable invoicing.
• Working with customers to collect open accounts receivable.
• Managing and maintaining the customer master, credit applications and exemption certificates.
• Weekly / Monthly account reconciliations and reporting.
• Cash application and customer deductions.
• Accounts Payable backup when required.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or Associate Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience will be considered.
• 3 + years of accounting/finance experience.
• Experience with ERP systems is an asset.
• Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards.
• Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Keen eye for details.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision or part of the team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office products.
• Advanced skills with: Word, Excel, Outlook.
