Job description

Possesses in-depth understanding of regulatory and product compliance standards in environmental and chemical regulations. Uses best practices and knowledge to manage compliance, sustainability and due diligence processes with regards to all relevant regulations, laws and industry standards relative to the semiconductor industry. Solves complex problems and provides new perspectives using existing solutions. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage knowledge of global environmental and chemical regulations, including, but not limited to the Stockholm Convention, REACH, WEEE, RoHS, European Green Deal, F-Gas, US-EPA, and EU-ECHA sponsored regulations.
  • Manage the compliance and due diligence process for all products and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards related to the semiconductor industry.
  • Work closely in the Global Supply Chain with EHS, the Commodity Management organization, Business Units, Legal, Engineering, New Product Introduction (NPI), etc. to drive regulatory compliance for Applied Materials' semiconductor manufacturing equipment and related products.
  • Subject matter expert in compliance for management and multifunctional teams in product and environmental regulations.
  • Point of contact to local, regional, and federal regulatory authorities (e.g. US-EPA, EU-ECHA) and industry organizations (e.g. SEMI, SIA, etc.).
  • Create and drive internal chemical regulatory compliance programs and compliance management systems to effectively comply with all applicable global chemical and environmental codes and regulations.
  • Monitor and keep abreast of relevant regulatory and similar developments; highlight risk to the top management and ensure Applied's compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Ensures that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility, and that necessary preliminary activities (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion.
  • Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.
  • Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with Company policies regarding Engineering/Lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality and safety.
  • Ensures that the utilization of all material and financial resources is carried out in an effective manner.
  • Effectively work with other staff to maximize productivity for the project / program.

U.S. Salary Range:
$88,000.00 - $121,000.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
