Essential Job Functions

The incumbent must be able to perform all the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Lead a high performing team of international transportation analysts
• Partner with Petco’s Global Brands team to provide daily logistics support and anticipate business needs for growth
• Maintain and enhance Standard Operating Procedures for Petco’s wholesale customers
• Work cross-functionally with teams such as inventory management, distribution, transportation, sales, etc. to improve processes, establish procedures and deliver business results
• Manage Supply Chain for Petco Mexico joint venture – specifically the movement of $10M+ units of product from Petco’s U.S. Distribution Centers and from international production points into Mexico. Comply with all NAFTA requirements/claims on US exports to Mexico as necessary.
• Direct the construction and maintenance of processes to improve efficiencies in order management including automation and transition to new IT systems
• Provide data analytics on the performance of the operating team via regular Key Performance Indicators

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role; an equivalent combination of relative working experience and education may be substituted for degree.
• Consistent success managing overseas or domestic consolidators, agents, freight forwarders and manufacturers
• Working knowledge of imports, exports and associated regulations and tariffs including retail Global Supply Chain experience and knowledge of Asian customs and exports is strongly preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, organize and track fine details of projects, communicate effectively verbally and in writing with international suppliers and work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• Proven advanced ability to use applications within MS Office Suite as well as advanced ability to extract and analyze data from databases and make appropriate recommendations having significant margin impact.
• Advanced business acumen, project management skills and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• 15 CFR part 30, HTSUS, and existing international trade agreements
• Spanish language
• Customs Brokers License, Certified Customs Specialist, or similar certification
