Manager Position

This position is supporting a career in consulting, shopper marketing, and retail strategy.You will apply innovation to business solutions, manage client projects, write proposals and reports, and present to clients.

Responsibilities:

Manage the functions that support the WSL Retail Safari® service including:

• Monitor and research new retail concepts, store openings, online retail innovations while keeping track of calendar and deliverable timelines as well as directing WSL’s global scouts.
• Manage WSL’s Photo Library system providing clients with the latest innovations in an organized and categorized way.
• Discover emerging trends in what people are buying and how they shop (physical and digital, US and global), e.g. Instagram and other social ads, TikTok trends, payment plans, subscriptions, health services, etc.
• Write up innovations in retail as a story that demonstrates how innovations you discover will lead to our client’s success.
• Develop story lines for innovation reports, and videos and coordinate with the WSL graphics team to produce and release them.
• Support social media channels and email marketing byrunning analytics, recommending what is working and making suggestions to expand and improve our presence.

Support client projects:

• Daily client management includes organizing meetings, agendas, timelines, content for meetings, and presenting to clients.
• Work with WSL Consultants on projects including writing proposals, research requests, presentations, and reports.
• Interact and connect with clients at a higher level to build future business.

Requirements

• Writing Skills – You will deliver finished content to describe retail innovations and why they’re relevant to the future of retail.
• Organized – You will run WSL’s ongoing search for innovation to find new and upcoming retail trends. These innovations support various pillars in WSL and require organization of multiple timelines and client’s requests.
• Active on Social Media – You will search platforms to uncover emerging trends in products, new language to describe what shoppers want, and new retail formats. Manage our social activity to report (post) these latest and upcoming trends from your point of view.
• Curiosity about changes in what is important to people and how it will impact shopping.
• Technical Skills – Be fluent in Mac platform, Powerpoint, Word, and Excel. Additional programs that involve beginner video editing (like iMovie, Canva) and visual creativity are a plus.
• Relevant experience from employment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
