It all started with one man's passion to make an impact through stories... 70 years later, we are the world's largest communications firm, which fosters an environment where people feel empowered to take the kind of bold action that makes careers, reshapes industries and creates the unexpected.
We are one global team, 6,500 strong across 60 offices, grounded by our shared values. We promise an experience where our employees see that boldness is possibility, empathy is progress and curiosity is momentum. Since Dan Edelman founded the firm in 1952, we have remained an independent, family-run business, and our culture is one that brings understanding, collaboration, and respect to our work and to each other.
We are looking for a Global Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) and Learning & Development (L&D) Intern to join our team for 10 weeks this summer. This role will be hybrid from our New York, Seattle, or San Francisco office location. The intern is expected to be in office approximately 3 days/ week. We are looking for an individual that is action-oriented, has a passion for writing with a marketing mindset, demonstrates an interest in continuous learning and improvement, data storytelling, DEI, and Learning and development, and is ready to play a vital role within the DEI and L&D teams.
The DEI and L&D Intern should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects, and apply a curious mindset to development opportunities. They should be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately, and possess strong follow-up and creative problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Canva, Excel, and PowerPoint, keen attention to detail, ability to handle confidential information, and ability to interact with all levels of staff is critical. Interest and familiarity with the field of human resources, DEI, and Learning & Development through past coursework and/or other internships is desirable.
