Corporate Strategy and Development
The Corporate Strategy & Development team sets the strategic direction for Chegg's long-term growth. We work in close partnerships with our executives, the Board of Directors and senior business leaders on our Corporate Strategy and growth priorities.
Our team focuses on driving and delivering growth by leading top strategic and acquisition initiatives across the portfolio of Chegg businesses. We are responsible for setting our growth agenda, prioritizing investments and executing deal transactions. Projects are team-based, highly analytical in nature, and include close collaboration with senior executives across the company. We rely on rigorous analysis to drive insights and create meaningful impact. We also manage Chegg's M&A and investment portfolio from sourcing to deal execution. We are a tight-knit team and value deep relationships - both within the company and across the industry - to enhance our perspective.
We are strategists, relationship builders, and dealmakers, and we are looking to grow our team.
Corporate Strategy - MBA Intern
We're looking for a highly motivated candidate interested in joining our team with high visibility to the executive team. You will support strategy projects that seek to identify and realize new growth opportunities for Chegg. Your skill set as a strategist will be fully employed to identify high-priority opportunities and conduct research and data-driven analysis to develop recommendations that facilitate corporate decisions.
The right candidate will be a self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to think critically about new and emerging trends impacting the education and edtech industry. It is essential that the candidate can quickly establish credibility, relationships, and leadership with a learning mindset.

Our recent research study called State of the Student shows that nearly 3 out of 4 students are working to support themselves through college and 1 in 3 students feel pressure to spend more than they can afford. We founded our business on provided affordable textbook rental options to address these issues. Since then, we've expanded our offerings to supplement many facets of higher educational learning through Chegg Study, Chegg Math, Chegg Writing, Chegg Internships, Thinkful Online Learning, and more to support students beyond their college experience. These offerings lower financial concerns for students by modernizing their learning experience. We exist so students everywhere have a smarter, faster, more affordable way to student.

Corporate Strategy - MBA Intern

Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic projects with data-driven insights and recommendations for high-priority corporate initiatives
- Identify, analyze, and synthesize market trends and key drivers that impact the education/edtech market and competitive landscape
- Support strategic initiatives, such as new market entry, product portfolio expansion, audience expansion, and new partnerships, among others
- Conduct activities in support of our annual corporate cadence, including strategic planning, Board of Director meetings, etc. in collaboration with our senior business leadership
- Support the M&A function in strategy-focused areas (e.g., strategic diligence)
Qualifications
- Current MBA student
- Be able to work 40 hours per week for 12 consecutive weeks
- Be onsite in Chegg's Santa Clara office 3x/week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) /Remote M/F
- 3+ years in management consulting, Corporate Strategy, or strategy-type roles at technology companies
- Experience and/or passion for education and/or the edtech industry
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to think end-to-end, balance multiple priorities, and manage long-term projects
- Strategic thinker with deep analytical and structured thinking to develop data-driven insights
- Strong executive presence and communications / presentation skills
