Job Title: Head Coach - 2007 Girls WYSL Soccer Team
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Head Coach for our 2007 Girls Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL) team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive environment that focuses on player development and enjoyment. The Head Coach will report directly to the Director of Coaching and collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including operations, field assignor, and administrative personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Practice and Match Preparation:
- Develop and implement effective practice plans to enhance individual and team skills.
- Ensure thorough preparation for all matches, emphasizing strategic and tactical elements.
- Weekly Attendance and Performance Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of player attendance and performance during practices and matches.
- Player Evaluations:
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive player evaluations to provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Player Selection Assistance:
- Collaborate in the evaluation and selection of players during annual tryouts.
- Punctuality and Professionalism:
- Attend all scheduled events on time and dressed in appropriate club attire.
- Serve as an ambassador of the club, promoting positive values within the community.
- Winter Practices:
- Conduct a minimum of two winter practices per week from December to March 1st.
- Thursday Practice Nights: 8:00PM to 9:30PM - School Gym, Manhattan West Side in the 60's.
- Flexible schedule for weekend practices.
- Spring Season (March 1st to June 1st):
- Primary practice site at Randalls Island.
- Two weekday evening practice sessions.
- One Saturday practice session.
- Sunday games.
- Participation in two tournaments: one in early March or April and one over Memorial Day weekend.
Compensation:
- Compensation will be based on experience and credentials.
- Coach's Kit: Includes club attire and practice equipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience with youth soccer teams, preferably at the U17 level.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Passion for player development and creating a positive team culture.
