Analyzes gifts and pledges, including endowments made to all University of Houston System (UHS) entities to ensure gift accuracy and compliance with university policies and procedures, IRS regulations, and CASE industry standards.
- Processes and enters major gifts, pledges and/or endowments for the University of Houston System (UHS), including credit card transactions, cash deposits, receipts, and batch processing.
- Ensures gift and pledge documents comply with university policies and procedures and applicable legal regulations.
- Updates biographical data for donors, alumni, and other entities as needed.
- Audits credit card and ACH transactions and prepares ad hoc and monthly financial reports.
- Analyzes errors and determine best method of correction; prepares journal entries and makes modifications and reversals.
- Reviews gift agreement terms and conditions; ensures compliance with university policies regarding gift acceptance, cash handling, IRS regulations, and gift matching.
- May train staff and provide guidance on gift and biographical data entry and processing.
- Prepares daily cash deposit for gifts that are not deposited by other UHS entities.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
The department will either be hiring a Gift & Records Analyst I or a Gift & Records Analyst II
Gift & Records Analyst I
High school and 3 years experience
Salary: $2,992 - $3,815 monthly
Gift & Records Analyst 2 -
High School Diploma & 5 years of experience required.
Salary: $3,442 - $4,388 monthly
- Department is willing to accept education in lieu of experience.
